Monkey bars!

Goodness, Cars Paul :) You must be getting ready for kindergarten! Dad told me that you have done the monkey bars solo, a couple times, but I hadn't seen you do it until today. Great job, big boy!

Loose teeth :)

Your bottom two teeth are getting loose. We didn't even know until you went to the dentist on the 2nd, and the hygienist told us. They are getting even looser now! When will they fall out??

Swimming!

Carson Paul :)

You started swimming lessons on Monday, and you just keep improving! You are being so brave in the water and being a leader in your class! On Wednesday you dove down (~4 ft) to get the ring from the bottom of the pool. You have been working on the crawl stroke all summer, on your own and with dad. Lessons are teaching you to take breaths while swimming, push off the side, kick better, and swim on your back. You jump off the side on your own, and are even trying to catch Paislee as she jumps to you (in 2ft water). You are a great swimmer and excellent big brother! Keep up the great work!

Meeting your Principal - Mr. L - Eugene Christian

Hard to believe you will be starting school in just a few short weeks! I am so thrilled for you! It will be an adjustment for us all, but I have to tell you that I can't wait to watch you grow and develop in so many ways! We are excited about your teacher, Mrs. Callahan. She seems to love her job and love the kids. I know you will do great! We were going to have you do 3 full days and 2 half days, but they took that option away this year. I had planned to maybe let you add more full days, if you requested it, but am fully trusting that God knows what is best for you this year!

Before you were admitted to the school, we (daddy, you, and I) had to meet with the principal, to be sure it was a good fit for all. We believe it will be a successful experience for you! 

On our way to meet with Mr. L, we quickly stopped by Crumb Together, a little local cookie and coffee shop. You picked an oatmeal raisin cookie and chocolate milk for your treat :) You also saw a small bag of coffee beans and asked to get those for the girls bc you know how much they enjoy them. You are a sweet big brother!

We picked out your backpack and school supplies a couple weeks ago. This has helped you get excited for school! You have orientation Sept 10 and start school on the 11th.

Slidin Solo!

Carson Paul, you took right off in the water this summer! You went down the slide solo right away - nice work! This was your first time doing so and you were very brave. You did it a few times. You are a pro now! You and Austynn even went up the slide by yourselves and went down. Great work! You are learning to swim and can do a few strokes. We will get you in lessons in August. You are really maturing this summer! We love watching you go!

Summer 2011 - 4 years old!

 You are getting good on your Thomas bike (12" wheels), with training wheels. You will ride all the way to Amazon pool (over a mile one way) and then ride a lot of the way home.

You are also doing awesome in the water! Jumping off the side solo into 3' of water. Getting your face all the way wet. (took you awhile to get used to getting your face wet) :)

 You were a big helper for an entire day +, as we removed the deck and leveled the ground for cement!

Money in Heaven

You saved your money for a helmet for your bike.

On your allowance money we take 10% for God and 10% for family, and then you get the rest. I forgot to do this today, so you had to give some of your change back. 

On the way home from getting your helmet, you said, "When we get to Heaven you will have to remind me about that money...right mom?"

It was so cute! Made me laugh and smile and be glad I was your mom.
