Dentist

Carson Paul, sorry bud! We didn't get you to the dentist until this month. We found out that you had some cavities on the top and bottom and both sides. Poor boy! You did soooo amazing during your cleaning! I wasn't sure how you would do, and you were superior!!

A couple weeks ago I took you in for your first cavity appointment. I, again, wasn't sure how that would go. And, again, you amazed me! You did perfect and did not whine or move at all. The dentist only did the top on your right side, though he was suppose to fill the top and bottom cavities. 

Today you went back to get the filling done on the other side...however, the dentist also did the bottom on your right side. You were numb on both sides when you got done. One cavity was so small that he didn't numb you, but still drilled the tooth. It was the last one. I could tell you didn't like it, but you did so well!!! 

You had your mouth open and the dentist working on it for over an hour! I felt so bad when you were done and your face was numb and you were drooling. My little baby boy. I asked you how you were and you said tired, so I got to hold you for a second (you don't sit still long!). I asked how you did and you said, "I wanted to cry, but I didn't". You were so tough!!! 

Dad had his cavity filled after you and the dentist told dad that you were in the top 5 of all the kids he has ever done. You are awesome! Way to go!!! Now...let's try to not have any more cavity bugs ;)

diving board!

Yay, big boy, Carson! You got to go off the diving board in swimming lessons today!! I was hoping you would get the chance. You did and you went for it!! Your teacher caught you. This happened to be the day that daddy came to watch your lessons, too. Great job!

Monkey bars!

Goodness, Cars Paul :) You must be getting ready for kindergarten! Dad told me that you have done the monkey bars solo, a couple times, but I hadn't seen you do it until today. Great job, big boy!

Loose teeth :)

Your bottom two teeth are getting loose. We didn't even know until you went to the dentist on the 2nd, and the hygienist told us. They are getting even looser now! When will they fall out??

Swimming!

Carson Paul :)

You started swimming lessons on Monday, and you just keep improving! You are being so brave in the water and being a leader in your class! On Wednesday you dove down (~4 ft) to get the ring from the bottom of the pool. You have been working on the crawl stroke all summer, on your own and with dad. Lessons are teaching you to take breaths while swimming, push off the side, kick better, and swim on your back. You jump off the side on your own, and are even trying to catch Paislee as she jumps to you (in 2ft water). You are a great swimmer and excellent big brother! Keep up the great work!

Meeting your Principal - Mr. L - Eugene Christian

Hard to believe you will be starting school in just a few short weeks! I am so thrilled for you! It will be an adjustment for us all, but I have to tell you that I can't wait to watch you grow and develop in so many ways! We are excited about your teacher, Mrs. Callahan. She seems to love her job and love the kids. I know you will do great! We were going to have you do 3 full days and 2 half days, but they took that option away this year. I had planned to maybe let you add more full days, if you requested it, but am fully trusting that God knows what is best for you this year!

Before you were admitted to the school, we (daddy, you, and I) had to meet with the principal, to be sure it was a good fit for all. We believe it will be a successful experience for you! 

On our way to meet with Mr. L, we quickly stopped by Crumb Together, a little local cookie and coffee shop. You picked an oatmeal raisin cookie and chocolate milk for your treat :) You also saw a small bag of coffee beans and asked to get those for the girls bc you know how much they enjoy them. You are a sweet big brother!

We picked out your backpack and school supplies a couple weeks ago. This has helped you get excited for school! You have orientation Sept 10 and start school on the 11th.
