June started off with the Neufield's inviting us over for lunch after church - look at all the cute kiddos around that table!
I think this may have been the first time we picked anything from the garden?
Carson, this was your first time helping me chop, with a real knife!
We had so many baby quail come through our yard!
Mimi
flew in on Thursday, June 12th and Uncle Mike, Aunt Stacey, Audrey, and
Sophie all came on Friday! We stayed together in St. George at the
WorldMark that Aunt Ginny let us use! It was such a neat time. So many
cool places to hike around the area and lots of lovely red rocks! You
cousins had a blast playing and playing! Dad stayed from Friday - VERY
early Monday morning (he left at 3, which was really 2 am Mesquite
time).
I
came home Tuesday evening, as I had an appt on Wednesday. I picked you kiddos back up on
Wednesday afternoon. You thoroughly enjoyed hiking at Zion all day
Wednesday!
Enjoying our tomatoes!
You wanted some Ramen noodles, so I taught you how to make them :)
We
went to Marilyn park on Friday, a little before noon, after Mike and
Stace dropped Mimi off to stay with us. There was a mom and son there
holding a little clinic on basketball and football. You got to
join in for about 30 minutes. It was so great!
Celebrating daddy's birthday before Mimi left.
We
went for a walk all around the golf course - it was HOT out and we were
SO thirsty, but had no water. Thankfully, about 1/2 way, there was a water
station set up for the golfers! We felt much better after that!
Look
how tiny this lizard is!! Dad tried to catch another tiny one while
in St. George and just the wrong move of his hand smashed it :( He was
as careful as possible this time and got it!
Saturday,
June 21st, we stayed the night in Las Vegas by the old part of town. Mimi flew out Sunday morning
and we headed to our vacation in the Palm Desert at the WorldMark in
Indio.
Papa and Nana drove down and met us there. Aggghhh, what a nice time we had! So nice of Aunt Ginny to share!
Cars,
one of your favorite things to do, was to pull people around the lazy
river. We all enjoyed a moment to relax and be pulled by you ;)
Dad
had a surprise for us all, to celebrate Papa and Nana's retirement. The
Palm Springs Aerial Tram and dinner at the top. It was all spectacular!
Here we are, cruising the Palm Springs strip, after our dinner at The Peaks. Windows down and having fun :)
The Saltan Sea - not sand, but barnacles.
We drove one day about an hour and a half to Borrego Springs, where Grandpa and Grandma always loved to camp in the Spring.
Nana, Austynn, Carson
There is an artist that has these sculptures set up - unbelievable!
Daddy's 35th birthday dinner, in Las Vegas!
We got home late on Sunday, and when we all woke up, we wanted to go check the garden out!
(Then
we got you kids packed up and met Papa and Nana, who stayed the night
in Las Vegas, and you started your journey toward Oregon!)
